Last day of school

On our last day of school we wore t-shirts that we made during the last week of school. We used sharpies and alcohol. I gave the students a rocket balloon that I purchased at Walmart during the Easter sale. I also gave the students classroom awards that they really loved.

End of the year Memory keepsakes

I kept the students writing's and art throughout the year. I wanted to find something easy for parents to store at home. I bought a 10 pack of paper poster boards at Walmart for like $2.97. I folded them in 1/2 and hot glued and stapled the ends. The students decorated them and had all classmates to sign the back. This was perfect for all of the large art projects. The parents loved them also.

Here is the Memory book we used that I created. The students really enjoyed all the positive letters their classmates wrote to them. This is a really cute keepsake.

End of the year classroom campout

We had an end of the year campout during the last week of school. I wanted to end the year with a fun activity that they will never forget.  I had the parents to bring in tents, sleeping bags, smore ingredients, board games, stuffed animals, and books. We had a blast telling scary stories, playing games, making smores, eating popcorn, and watching a movie. The kids had a blast and I do believe they will never forget this day.

For the fire, I used a led chargeable lantern that I purchased at Walmart. I cut red and orange construction paper shaped like a flame and taped in around the lantern. It actually looked just like a real fire.

St. Patrick's Day

I teach at a private school on a College Campus. We have a professor that dresses up like a leprechaun and he also has a St. Patty's parade for the kids. The kids all love it! We weren't dressed in green, because this day also fell on our Dr. Seuss week.

Reading and Stem Activity "My Robot"

Our Reading story this week is "My Robot," so I thought it would be a great ideal to include a stem activity of making a Robot. I had the parents to donate items like, aluminum foil, duct tape, boxes, lids, paper towel tubes, toilet paper tubes. The kids had such a wonderful time.
